The number inside the kudos icon is a hyperlink. Click that to find out who is your secret admirer

In my opinion the issue will work itself out over time. Folks that dont post useful information will eventually be ignored. Kudos or not it wont matter. Unfortunately it is difficult if not impossible to prevent people from gaming the system.
