Warning to all users! We have at least one bogus user in the community (jasca) sending potentially dangerous private emails!

I just received a dangerous SCAM email in the community private email system from user jasaca. This is the typical "bo-ho" email.. family in Africa killed, etc.. got some money.. need help, etc...

I have reported this to the appropriate individual as soon as I saw it.

If anyone geceives an email w/a subject line typically saying: "Hi Dear Friend" .. I strongly urge them to post a notice of it here along w/the username it came from... a do NOT click on any hyperlinks in the email.. they are "traps"!

Thanks so much for giving all of our members a heads up on this spammer. This person has been banned from the community. While we can't prevent all spamming, we do have preventative measures in place to deter as much as we can. You set a fantastic example of what it means to be part of a community - looking out for the best interest of your fellow members and alerting community management and members when you come across a threat. Well done, and thanks again!

Members, if you do come across a private message from jasca, please heed RJ's warning to avoid clicking on any of the links - simply deleting the message is the way to go.

Quick update -- banned user "jasca" sent these private messages to a handful of community users, of which only a couple were opened. All pm's from jasca have been removed from the community.
