How to backup database

I am trying to import a new list into SLX and wanted to know how to back up my database before I do it. The database also hasn't been backed up in a while so it is due for one as well. Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you for your response that helped me immensely.

I believe you were able to help me last week with uploading the list into SLX. I have changed the format for the zip codes in the CSV file so that they are special and will read the zero and not get rid of it and I also checked the text file and the zero was still listed. But when going to upload, the zero is not present in SLX. How can I get the correct zip codes to display when going from CSV to SLX? Thank you.
