Inactive Text turns dark dark grey in Windows 7, but looks great in XP.

Anyone else experiencing this, or have a fix?

A text box marked as "Inactive" turns a nice light grey in an XP environment.  ("Inactive" meaning that the user cannot edit that field.)

However, when same version (Clent version 7.5.4) is installed on a Windows 7 box, that grey turns very dark grey (see picture for example.)

No matter what we try on the Color Palettes on the Windows 7 box, it has no effect on the color of the 'inactive' texts.

(Most of our computers are still XP, but we are now migrating to Windows 7.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-joe

Turns light gray on my Windows 7... has not been a problem.

SalesLogix follows Windows "themes"....

and does it look the same in XP?  all of our windows 7 machines have the dark grey, and all the XP ones show the light grey, and nothing we do in themes (or advanced color settings) makes a difference.

Looking at a 2003 (has themes on so it looks like XP), It is different.. Win 7 Pro is darker but not a problem for us since we do not disable the control.. just turn it read-only so the text is nice and dark and it's a good contrast in either case.

FYI - we have "themes" un-checked on our text box controls ;-)
