Re: SLX Web 7.5.1 - Field Level Security

Thanks.

How is it implemented? How does the web client respect field level securty?

I set various fields in a security profile to no access, and to read only, and the web client did not seem to respect these settings.

In the LAN client, such fields would appear read only or no data would show. This does not seem to be the case in WEB.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hello Henry,

If you are having issues with a particular field (s) please call Support so they can assist you in troubleshooting the issue or log a defect (if that is the case).

Thanks,

Tim

Re: SLX Web 7.5.1 - Field Level Security

Thanks. Before I actually call support, i'd like to know if this feature is available on the web. If so, how is it implemented, and how does the SLX Web client treat the pages and bound controls differently.

Thanks

Re: SLX Web 7.5.1 - Field Level Security

As of 7.5.1 the feature is available and is implemented as a service in the Web Client.  All controls on detail forms are marked read-only when appropriate and read-only with no data if no access.  Is this what you needed?
