I compiled the following questions and concerns that usually arise during discussions with our Sage SalesLogix Cloud prospects.
Q: What are the main reasons a customer would want to move their CRM solution in the cloud?
A: Having Sage host software and hardware in the cloud for businesses helps them minimize IT costs and involvement since Sage provides world-class support for them. Cloud solutions are also appealing because they eliminate capital expenditures with flexible, subscription-based purchase options. You can get your CRM solution up and running quickly.
Q: Is my data secure?
A: Yes, the environment has been setup with numerous security measures such as SSL, locked down firewall ports, and a hardened Windows OS.
Q: Can customers move from on-premise to Cloud easily and vice versa?
A: Yes to both. And, if they move from the cloud to on-premise, they receive their entire database back—including relationships and custom entities. You own your data at all times.
Q: How will hot fixes and upgrades be applied?
A: Customers will be able to control the time frame when upgrades/hot fixes take place. This is a great benefit! Since each customer is on a single tenant platform, you may elect NOT to upgrade by simply notifying Sage and we can exclude you from this process. During the upgrade, Sage will backup your system and apply your data to the new instances.
Q: Will I have access to their environments to customize?
A: Yes, you and your solution partner will have remote desktop access to the environment.
These 5 questions highlight the advantages of the Sage SalesLogix cloud solution, which offers customers the best of both worlds—a full-featured, flexible CRM solution with full ownership of data combined with the attributes of a Software as a Service (SaaS) CRM solution like payment and contract flexibility, access to data online, and the ability to get up and running quickly.
