More than just a Pretty Face

Interface Design sometimes sounds like a buzz word. One of those hip, cool jobs that no one takes seriously. If the product works, why do we need a dedicated person or team to make it look good?  While it is extremely important to have a functioning product, it is equally important to encompass good design.

Step up your email marketing

Our inboxes are filled to the brim every day, and we only have time to give our full attention to a handful of emails. We shouldn't expect it to be any different for your own customers or prospects. The big question: what is it about an email that makes a person open it, read it, and respond to it?

Join Lindsey Weinig, Director of Marketing with Swiftpage™, as she discusses nine steps to creative and effective emails.

  • Subject line do's and don'ts.
  • Image positioning, previews, and other layout tips.
  • Link strategy--wording and placement.
  • Copywriting to drive results.
  • And making it all work together.

Mobility – Staying Productive on the Road

by Employee on 03-26-2012 09:18 AM - last edited on 03-26-2012 09:42 AM by Administrator Administrator

A horrible thing happened to me last week -my phone quit working.  Not my desk phone, not my home phone, but my mobile phone.  The one I keep with me all the time.  The one that not only acts as a phone, but as my connection to the entire world, not just my personal world, but my Sage world too.  I felt lost.  Of course, I immediately ran to the store to see if it could be fixed.  It could not, but they could replace it (yay!), but it would take two days to get it to me in the mail (boo).  So, there I was, faced with not having my phone for TWO WHOLE DAYS!

Where did the #Sage #SalesLogix Knowledgebase articles and product documentation go?

by Employee on 03-07-2012 08:38 AM - last edited on 03-08-2012 06:51 AM

By now I am confident that everyone is well aware that Sage SalesLogix Support sites have transitioned with the recent system changes. This transition is a Sage corporate initiative to get all business units (product lines) on the same enterprise solution. Sage SalesLogix was part of the last implementation phase, so now Sage can move forward with everyone being on the same enterprise solution.

So what does this mean to you as customers of Sage SalesLogix?Initially, it means that you will need to become familiar with the new support sites and your interactions with the Sage SalesLogix Support Analysts will change slightly as they are interacting with new systems. We do appreciate your continued patience as we also grow familiar with the new systems and process that are a result from this change. The Customer Portal (which is the alternative to SupportOnline) now requires you to login to access the knowledgebase content.

Important Note: If you have not registered to the Customer Portal, you can use your Account ID to register. If you are still unable to log into the Customer Portal, please contact Sage SalesLogix Customer Care at 800-361-2830.

Where do I locate product documentation and downloads in the Customer Portal? Once you log into the Customer Portal you should be automatically directed to your products' resource page. If you have multiple products, you will need to click the Sage SalesLogix icon.

To locate Product Downloads, perform the following:
1. In the Download product updates section, click Product and Service Release Updates.
2. In the Product Updates section, click either Current update or Previous Update. Note: All new downloads will be in the Current updates link
3. In the Current Product Updates section, select the appropriate product
4. Navigate through the links to locate the hot fixes, updates, and service packs for the specific product

To locate Product Documentation, click Find Solutions & Product Documentation in the Solve a Common Problem section. You can search the knowledgebase to locate all product documentation. The product documentation is also located in the product downloads zip files.

There are a lot of changes occurring and we understand that it can be overwhelming at times. We encourage you to provide feedback and ask questions. We are willing to provide you the necessary support for you to succeed with the Sage SalesLogix product.

Thank you,

How are you measuring up?

by Moderator Moderator on 03-05-2012 08:42 AM

In today’s business world, it seems like everywhere you turn you are being asked “How is this campaign performing?” or “What is does the pipeline look like?”  It can all be overwhelming to decipher what metrics are useful, what management would like to see, and how to act on them.

I often find myself asking many of the same questions during my business day.  I recently came along an article, “How to Create an Actionable Marketing Dashboard (and Why You Need One)” from Marketing Professors.  After I read it, I thought it simply outlined the steps that can benefit anyone looking at creating their own dashboard. Here are the pointers that might make it easier to start down the path of an actionable dashboard:

1. Align reporting to business outcomes

2. Choose your metrics

3. Document the data chains

4. Acquire the data

5. Validate and review

Read entire article from Marketing Professors for more details.

Luckily, Sage SalesLogix Advanced Analytics gives you a leg up with reporting, analytics, and dashboards that can be used effectively at all levels within an organization.  You can leverage a comprehensive library of pre-built, interactive dashboard content and metrics that span CRM functions, including Sales, Marketing and Customer Support. Some key areas that Sage SalesLogix Advanced Analytics covers are:

Assess key sales performance metrics with pre-built dashboards covering Sales by Geography, Historical Sales, Sales Forecast, Sales Pipeline, Win/Loss, Opportunity Trends, Ranking and Productivity Analysis.

Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using the Campaign Analysis dashboard to analyze response metrics and determine ROI.

Improve customer service and support by acting on insights provided by dashboards covering Ticket Volume Trend, Open and Closed Tickets and Ticket Activities.

We recently conducted a great webcast covering this powerful solution.  If you missed it, I invite you to view the webcast Sage SalesLogix Advanced Analytics.
